Atlanta Birth & Documentary Photographer - Miranda Lynch

Hi! I’m Miranda.

I’m a birth and documentary photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia. I specialize in capturing real, unscripted moments for individuals, couples, and communities. From the quiet strength of birth to the joy of personal milestones or the energy of shared gatherings, I’m here to witness and preserve your story with sensitivity and intention.

What I Offer:

  • Birth Photography: On-call, respectful documentation of your labor and delivery experience, at home or in hospital.

  • Documentary Photography: Portraits that honor your journey — from solo moments to shared connections.

  • Event Coverage: Candid storytelling for events, retreats, and gatherings — especially where meaning matters more than perfection.

  • Legacy Projects: Ongoing documentary work with communities, organizations, or individuals wanting to preserve a deeper story over time.

Atlanta Life and Birth Photographer Miranda Lynch

Authentic photography

My approach to photography is designed to be relaxed and natural, allowing each family, couple or individual to feel comfortable and at ease. I don't stage moments; instead, I focus on real emotions and genuine connections. Whether it’s quiet joy at home or the powerful first moments of your baby’s life, Miranda Lynch Photography is dedicated to preserving the special, unscripted moments that tell your story. With every session, I aim to create a timeless record of your journey, full of heart and soul.

Doulas and Midwives I Trust

  • Danielle Lyles Barton - Doula

Danielle is a true empath and was born for compassionate work. I have had the immense privilege of working in the birth space with this spectacular human. If you want a doula who will be deeply compassionate, strong and present, Danielle is your person. Located in Atlanta.

  • Nikki Reeves - Doula

I have worked as a birth photographer alongside Nikki at two births. She is so intuitive with the people she works with. She knows when to do what without being asked and knows when to back off and give them space. She is positive, patient, and fierce for her clients when she needs to be. Located in Gwinnett County.

  • Raeanne De Melo - Doula and Birth Worker

Raeanne is an incredible doula (and was my first client!) and kind friend. She is hardworking, loving, patient, experienced and all around super cool. Having shared space with her as a birth worker and a client has allowed me to see how beautifully connected she is to the experience of birth.

  • The Nest Midwifery - Midwives

Amanda and Hannah are two dedicated and passionate homebirth midwives I’ve had the pleasure of working with. They seamlessly balances humor, kindness, and strength. One moment they bring lightness and laughter, and the next, are fully focused and ready to catch a baby with all the care and skill in the world. I adore them. Located in Northwest Metro Atlanta.

  • Savannah del Ray - Doula

I met Savannah not at a birth but through a shared interest in building community for birth workers and providing affordable care for lower income mothers. We have since become friends. Savannah is like sunshine - she beams and those she touches with her light are lucky. In addition to doula services, Savannah also offers childbirth classes. Serves greater North Metro Atlanta

Services and Stores I trust

  • Sam with Cradleboard Creations

Sam is an incredible chef, healer and person. She makes locally sourced, small batch meals for “general womb health, fertility, pregnancy, labor & post partum.” I have personally worked with her and tried her incredibly delicious and nourishing meals and would recommend her to any of my clients. Serves Atlanta, Northwest Georgia and Chattanooga.
