About Miranda

Hey, I’m Miranda — a photographer in Atlanta, Georgia.

I started out in film school in LA with big dreams, but left disillusioned by the commercialism of Hollywood. For the next decade, I worked as a nanny and family manager, where I found joy in connecting deeply with people in their everyday lives. When I eventually picked up my camera again, I knew I didn’t want to leave that connection behind. Photography became my way of honoring it.

This job is so special to me - I love people. I’ve always loved people. Each of us is so immeasurably lucky to be alive and human. Of every living thing in the universe, you got to be you?! Amazing. You are you! That’s why I built my business around “the village” — the families, small businesses, events, and communities that make up our everyday worlds. I want to document it all: the beginnings, the mess, the laughter, and the legacies.

When I meet a new client, I sometimes ask them for their “dating profile” so I can learn who they are beyond the surface. Here’s mine:

I’m someone who loves going to a movie theater at 2 PM on a Tuesday. Someone who throws a mean themed party. Once, I even made false ceilings for my entire condo for a birthday party. I love reading fiction but often avoid it because of the inevitable post-book blues, so I read medieval textbooks instead - I already know how they end. I live and work to travel, but also cry over leaving my cats every time. I believe that everybody should sing, even if it’s off-key.

I’m a homebody and an adventurer, a lover of quiet moments and community gatherings. Most of all, I’m a storyteller — and I’d be honored to tell yours.

My Village

  • Danielle Lyles Barton - Blooming All Over

Danielle is a true empath and was born for compassionate work. I have had the immense privilege of working in the birth space (and outside of the birth space) with this spectacular human. If you want a doula who will be deeply compassionate, strong and present, Danielle is your person. Located in Atlanta.

  • The Nest Midwifery

Amanda and Hannah are two dedicated and passionate homebirth midwives I’ve had the pleasure of working with. They seamlessly balances humor, kindness, and strength. One moment they bring lightness and laughter, and the next, are fully focused and ready to catch a baby with all the care and skill in the world. I adore them. Located in Northwest Metro Atlanta.

  • Claire with Weithaus Baby and Home

Claire is the founder of Weithaus, a beautifully curated shop full of adorable, thoughtfully sourced goods for parents and babies. Every product is chosen with your baby’s wellbeing in mind - no greenwashing. She walks the walk. She’s immersed in the world of birth and postpartum and has become a friend I trust and admire. She has a new brick and mortar in Avondale Estates! Woohoo!

  • Joanna with Rae's Nest

Postpartum doula, professional organizer, mother, AuDHD queen, Joanna is a deep well of knowledge and talent. Joanna says “Need help turning your guest room into a nursery or sensory-friendly playroom? Merging your workspace and kid space? Looking for hands-on support so you can refill your bucket? I’ve been there—and I can help.”

  • Sam with The Shire Mother

Sam is an incredible chef, healer and person. She makes locally sourced, small batch meals for “general womb health, fertility, pregnancy, labor & post partum.” I have personally worked with her and tried her incredibly delicious and nourishing meals and would recommend her to any of my clients. Serves Atlanta, Northwest Georgia and Chattanooga.

  • Dr. Kat Garner

THRIVE with Dr. Kat focuses on helping women who feel overlooked by traditional care. Many of her clients have been told “everything looks normal” despite persistent fatigue, hormonal shifts, digestive issues, and emotional imbalances.
